Job summary

Caton Construction Group is seeking a Bridge Carpenter in Marion, Virginia to join our heavy civil construction project team. Starting pay is based on skills and experience, with a 48-hour work week and full-time hours.

Responsibilities include erecting forms, aligning structures, inspecting work for compliance, and coordinating with project staff. Prior experience and strong blueprint interpretation are required.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and specs.
• Ability to prepare layouts and estimate materials.
• Experience with surveyed project coordination and field layout.

Responsibilities

• Erect and install built-in-place or prefabricated forms per blueprint specs.
• Inspect work in progress for conformance to plans.
• Maintain resources and ensure safety on site.
• Identify changes and report to project manager/engineer.
• Promote safety and quality on all job sites.
