Job summary

CATON CONSTRUCTION GROUP in Marion, Virginia seeks a skilled Bridge Carpenter to join our heavy civil project team. You will construct, erect, and repair forms and structures for bridges, footings, decks and bent caps, following blueprints and specifications.

Starting pay depends on skills and experience. The role requires familiarity with formwork, rebar tying, and machine operations for bridge finishing, with safety and quality at the forefront of every task on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a bridge carpenter.
• Strong knowledge interpreting drawings and project specifications.
• Familiar with layout, survey controls, and bridge geometry.

Responsibilities

• Erect built-in-place or prefabricated forms per blueprints.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with specs and plans.
• Maintain resources safely and efficiently on site; report changes to management.
• Assist with survey and field layout and support estimators/engineers.
• Promote safety and quality, lead by example on job sites.
