Position: BRIDGE & BEYOND PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Reports to: Director of Bridge & Beyond Program
Position Summary
Provide support with correspondence, filing, maintaining confidentiality with records, use of office technology; particularly computer‑assisted programs; perform routine clerical duties and provide input on data collection needs. Must know or learn Jenzabar Technology and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the Bridge and Beyond Program, including scheduling, data entry, document management, and maintaining student records
- Maintain inventory and purchasing plans for program materials, supplies, and equipment, and manage program purchasing processes
- Compose routine correspondence, develop forms, create programs for special events, compile statistical reports, and record minutes from staff meetings
- Assist with scheduling appointments for the Director and Assistant Director with students, staff, faculty, tutors, and campus partners
- Maintain the annual program events calendar and assist with coordinating workshops, informational sessions, and program activities
- Input student applications and required data into institutional systems and assist with tracking and assembling participant records and reports
- Assist with planning and coordinating recruitment activities, campus visits, open houses, and student engagement events; maintain regular communication with students, families, and campus partners via email, phone, and messaging platforms
- Track student participation, attendance, and engagement and assist with program reporting and evaluation efforts; support social media and promotional efforts to increase program visibility and student engagement
- Assist with preparing materials for day‑to‑day operations, presentations, learning communities, and program events
- Provide logistical support for events, including check‑in, setup, transportation coordination, and communication with participants
- Collaborate with program staff to support student retention, persistence, and overall program success
- Ability to work during the academic year, summer, evenings, and weekends in accordance with the academic calendar and program needs
- Other duties as assigned
Education / Experience
- Bachelor degree preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills including the ability to speak standard English
- Experience in higher education in counseling, student support services or grant management a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is imperative, including ability to learn Jenzabar technology
- Committed to working with college students with diverse educational, emotional, and social needs is crucial
