Job summary

The State of Indiana's Department of Transportation seeks a Bridge Asset Engineer to lead district-level asset management of bridges, aligning capital and maintenance investments with statewide objectives. You will analyze inspection data, review design plans, and provide technical guidance to ensure conformance with IDM, IMUTCD, and INDOT specifications.

This senior role requires PE licensure and extensive civil/transportation engineering experience, with proficiency in bridge design software

Qualifications

• Indiana PE license is mandatory.
• 8+ years in engineering, civil, transportation or related field.
• Broad knowledge of civil engineering theories and highway design.
• Proficiency with bridge design software and INDOT systems.
• Familiarity with IDM, IMUTCD and INDOT specifications.
• Ability to prepare and review complex design plans and provide recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead district-level bridge asset management efforts.
• Analyze inspection data and identify investment needs.
• Maintain the bridge asset management plan and ensure policy conformance.
• Provide technical guidance to align with statewide objectives.
