Thimble Alterations is seeking skilled independent contractors to alter bridal and formalwear. You will handle wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and related fittings with precision.

You will communicate timelines clearly and maintain a tidy workspace designed for fittings. Candidates should have proven experience in bridal alterations, strong garment construction knowledge, and proficiency in machine and hand sewing, along with excellent customer service to support clients through their

Qualifications

Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring.
Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
