Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards, while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work as part of the store team, showcasing the David’s Bridal brand through technical expertise and friendly assistance.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, guiding alterations, and maintaining a flawless alterations room. Prior sewing experience and retail apparel knowledge are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of retail experience in apparel or a specialty store is preferred.
• Prior sewing experience is required, especially in bridal or occasion wear.
• Experience with computerized POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly in person, on the phone, and via virtual chats, solving problems with clarity.
• Assist customers with alterations and fittings and communicate options effectively.
• Maintain service levels and manage customer flow to deliver five-star service.
• Oversee quality control of garments altered, steamed, or pressed before delivery.
• Assist stylists with gown fit consulting and upsell alteration services.
• Keep the alterations area clean, organized, and compliant with store standards.
