Dark Matter Coffee is hiring a part-time Brewing Assistant for the Cold Coffee Department in Chicago. The role focuses on cleaning, brewing, and organizing duties, with some support across back-of-house departments.

The position offers an hourly rate starting at $17.05 and requires a willingness to learn in a kitchen/brewery setting. Ideal candidates have interest or experience in a kitchen or brewery environment and will work 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Interest or experience working in a kitchen/brewery environment.
• Ability to operate brewing equipment safely and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and organize within the Cold Coffee Department.
• Brew coffee and produce cold coffee products per approved format.
• Assist other back-of-house departments as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of kegs, brewing and packaging equipment, brite tanks and workspace.
• Take pH readings of cleaning chemical tanks and manage keg washing runs.
• Support daily production logs and record batch data.

Brewing Assistant - Soft ParadeThe Brewing Assistant is a part-time (24 hrs/wk) position whose primary responsibilities are cleaning, brewing, and organizing within the Cold Coffee Department of Dark Matter Coffee. There may be miscellaneous tasks involved with assisting other back-of-house departments. Ideal candidates would have interest or experience working in a kitchen/brewery environment.The Brewing Assistant position is a part-time hourly position with a starting hourly rate of $17.05/hr.After 90 days, employees are eligible for comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, STD/LTD, and voluntary life insurance.
