Job summary

Cold Spring Brewing is seeking a Brewhouse Manager to oversee the entire brewhouse operations and lead the brewing team. The role focuses on directing production, quality, and efficiency across wort production, fermentation and packaging, while collaborating with sales and marketing on product development.

The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, leadership experience, and the ability to manage labor costs.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background and ability to troubleshoot.
• Experience with Proliet and Brewmax software.
• Able to stand/walk on hard surfaces and work in office and production environments.
• Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in Outlook and MS Office (Word, Excel) and customer portals.
• Work around noise, dust and varying temperatures; production chemicals present.
• Effective communication with all levels of employees, vendors and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee brewing operations, including wort production, fermentation, filtration, scheduling, sanitation, inventory and record keeping.
• Train and schedule brewing team; manage labor costs and efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing on new product development and staff events.
• Develop and improve brewing processes and ensure compliance with GMP and quality standards.
• Lead recruitment, evaluations, promotions and disciplinary actions for hourly staff.
• Monitor operations and facilities for safety, cleanliness and efficiency.
