Job summary

City Brewing Company is seeking a Brewing Supervisor to oversee shift operations in the Brewhouse, mentor operators, and coordinate with the Batching team for synchronized production.

Responsibilities include safety and GMP compliance, troubleshooting production issues, data entry of production records, and leading shift hand-off meetings.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and/or brewing studies preferred; HS diploma considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in a production facility; beverage/food production preferred.
• Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience coaching and mentoring team members.
• Flexible schedule including weekends to support 24/7 production.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operations to complete filtration and brewing schedule requirements.
• Ensures team follows all safety protocols and GMPs and wears PPE.
• Troubleshoots production issues.
• Ensures quality and TTB compliance.
• Manages data entry of production records during their shift.
• Conducts shift hand-off meetings to ensure effective shift exchange.
• Analyzes and resolves challenges within the Brewhouse and assists team members with problem solving.
• Provides coaching to operators for safety and professional growth.
• Initiates personnel actions such as performance evaluations and disciplinary measures.
• Assists with inventory management across the Brewhouse.
• Assists in internal auditing such as GMP, HACCP and Safety.
• Ensures compliance with internal, federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Finds opportunities for increased efficiency and trains operators on new ways of working.
• Leads team through new product implementations to ensure clarity and quality throughout the production cycle.
