Job summary

Barrel One Collective (B1C) is hiring a Production Quality Analyst to join the Boston quality control lab. You will run microbiology, chemistry and sensory analysis, audit production against SOPs, and ensure products meet specifications with rigorous recordkeeping.

Over time, you will lead the cider program quality, shaping a growing category for B1C and partners. If you are detail-driven with food science, microbiology or chemistry experience, this role offers ownership in a craft beverage

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field.
• 2–3 years in a quality control, QA or food safety lab.
• Hands-on aseptic technique and microbiology testing.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF and continuous improvement.
• Strong Microsoft Office and database skills.

Responsibilities

• Quality control and lab testing across beer, cider and seltzer brands.
• Run sensory analysis and lead tasting panels.
• Perform microbiological testing ( plating, qPCR, stability ).
• Perform chemical analysis (spectrophotometry, titration).
• Audit production against SOPs and document variances for investigations.
