Job summary

Nombase is seeking a Brewery Associate in Westerly, RI to assist with cellar and brewhouse operations. Working under the Head Brewer and HR, you will learn brewing processes, transfer beer, CIP equipment, and perform quality checks. The role runs from 10am to 6pm, full-time, with benefits and company 401(k) options.

Ideal candidates are team players with strong communication skills, safety awareness, and a willingness to train across all brewing stages to eventually cover for the head brewer.

Qualifications

• Maintain workplace safety while upholding quality standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment: fork truck, scissor lift.
• Train on all aspects of brewing to cover for head brewer.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively in a team environment while treating coworkers with dignity and respect.
• Handle cellar, brewhouse and QC responsibilities.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude while maintaining safety and quality.
• Relieve head brewer at end of shift and finish brewhouse operations, including wort boiling, transfer to whirlpool, knockout to fermenters and CIP’ing brewhouse.
• Safely lift and move raw materials, hoses, pumps and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and sanitation of beer contact surfaces.
