Job summary

Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard, NC is seeking a dedicated Brewer Lead to oversee wort production and supervise Brewer Operators and Technicians. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Brewer Manager and focuses on process improvements and team leadership in a brewery setting.

The position requires 2-3 years of production brewery experience, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work weekends and overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Lead Brewer Operators and Technicians with effective communication across teams.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and the ability to multi-task in a brewing environment.
• Able to make responsible, well-informed decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality and safety standards for wort production.
• Master Brewer Operator tasks (1, 2) and Technician tasks.
• Lead teams and support Brewer/Operations managers on initiatives.
• Audit raw materials and ensure accuracy of Brewsheets, BOMs, and Brand Specs.
• Lead a team of Brewer Operations and Technicians.
• Engage in improvement projects coordinated by Brewer Manager.
• Communicate effectively via email, phone, text or in person.
