Job summary

TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our imaging team. The role focuses on breast ultrasound imaging and requires travel between our main facility and affiliated Breast Centers to provide imaging services.

The ideal candidate will be RDMS certified in Breast Imaging, ARRT Mammography eligible, and possess strong attention to detail, communication, and patient care. Travel and compliance with safety standards are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Active RDMS certification with a specialty in Breast Ultrasound required.
• Registered in Mammography by the ARRT.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound imaging, with a focus on breast ultrasound.
• Active state licensure as required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
• Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital imaging setting is a plus.
• Proficiency in breast ultrasound imaging techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in imaging.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in medical imaging.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures, specializing in breast ultrasound.
• Ensure accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes and communicate findings to physicians.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
• Follow all safety protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide patient education and support to ensure comfort during procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility protocols.
• Travel to Breast Centers as scheduled to provide imaging services.
