Job summary

TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital seeks a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for breast imaging. This role requires travel between the main facility and affiliated Breast Centers to provide diagnostic ultrasound services and patient education.

The ideal candidate has RDMS (Breast) and ARRT Mammography credentials, 1+ year of ultrasound experience, and current licensure. Travel and strong communication with radiologists are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RDMS certification with a Breast Ultrasound specialty is required.
• Registered in Mammography by ARRT.
• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound imaging experience, focus on breast imaging preferred.
• Active state licensure as required.
• AHA BLS certification required on hire.
• Outpatient or hospital imaging experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in breast ultrasound imaging and a strong commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic scans. This role involves traveling between our main facility and affiliated Breast Centers to provide imaging services as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures, specializing in breast ultrasound.
• Ensure accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes and communicate findings to physicians.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
• Follow all safety protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide patient education and support to ensure comfort during procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility protocols.
• Travel to Breast Centers as scheduled to provide imaging services.

Required Skills:

• Active RDMS certification with a specialty in Breast Ultrasound required (BREAST RDMS).
• Registered in Mammography by the ARRT.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound imaging, with a focus on breast ultrasound preferred.
• Active state licensure as required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
• Previous experience in an outpatient or hospital imaging setting is a plus.
• Proficiency in breast ultrasound imaging techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in imaging.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in medical imaging.
