Job summary

Stony Brook University’s Renaissance School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, invites applications for Division Chief of Breast Surgery. This senior leadership role drives clinical excellence, education, and research within a multidisciplinary breast program.

The Division Chief will lead strategic planning, faculty recruitment, and program development, collaborating with medical oncology, radiology, pathology and plastic surgery to advance patient care and academic productivity.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited medical school and completion of General Surgery residency.
• Fellowship training in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology.
• Board-certified in General Surgery.
• Eligible for appointment at Associate Professor or Professor at RSOM.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, clinical, academic and operational leadership to the Breast Surgery Division.
• Oversee recruitment, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Partner with hospital leadership to grow program and regional outreach.
• Lead education, mentorship and development of a Breast Fellowship Program.
