Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Breast Surgery team in High Point, NC. This 1.0 FTE hybrid position supports patients across the breast surgery continuum in both clinic and hospital settings.

Open to experienced APPs and new graduates, with collaboration across a specialized surgical team and supervising physician.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Eligible for North Carolina licensure.
• Eligible for required hospital privileges.
• RNFA due to serving as first assist in OR.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the breast surgery team to evaluate, treat, and manage patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Provide patient-centered care within the Breast Surgery service.
• Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient clinic.
• Participate in inpatient care responsibilities as appropriate.
• Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Develop and implement plans of care with the supervising physician.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies within scope.
• Educate patients and families throughout care.
• Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Perform procedures within scope and privileges.
