Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital seeks a Board-Certified Breast Surgeon to diagnose and treat breast conditions from benign lumps to breast cancer, through consultations and surgical procedures.

Key duties include performing lumpectomies and mastectomies, creating personalized treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with oncologists and radiologists.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in breast surgery (BC/BE) per ABMS/ABPS/ABS.
• Missouri medical licensure (DEA license required).

Responsibilities

• Patient consultations: discuss diagnoses, explain options, and perform pre- and post-operative assessments.
• Surgical procedures: perform lumpectomies, mastectomies, biopsies, and lymph node removal.
• Treatment planning: create and manage personalized plans for breast cancer and benign conditions.
• Diagnostic interpretation: order and interpret tests, labs and imaging.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration: work with oncologists, radiologists, reconstruction surgeons, and pathologists.

• Diagnostic Interpretation: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging data.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other specialists like oncologists, radiation oncologists, reconstruction surgeons, and pathologists.
