Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Breast Surgeon to diagnose and treat breast conditions from benign lumps to breast cancer.

You will perform surgeries such as lumpectomies and mastectomies, develop personalized treatment plans, and coordinate with oncologists and radiologists to provide comprehensive care. The role emphasizes consultations, imaging interpretation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in the Breast Surgery specialty.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• DEA license required.
• Missouri medical board registration or equivalent licensing.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to discuss diagnoses and treatment options.
• Perform breast surgeries including lumpectomies and mastectomies.
• Develop and manage personalized treatment plans for breast cancer and benign conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (lab results, imaging).
• Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, reconstruction surgeons, and pathologists.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Board-Certified Breast Surgeon to diagnose and treat breast conditions, from benign lumps to breast cancer, through consultations and surgical procedures. Key duties include performing surgeries such as lumpectomies and mastectomies, developing personalized treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of oncologists and radiologists.

• Patient Consultations: Meet with patients to discuss diagnoses, explain treatment options, and perform pre‑and post‑operative assessments.
• Perform a range of surgeries, including lumpectomies, mastectomies, biopsies, and lymph node removal.
• Create and manage comprehensive, personalized treatment plans for patients with breast cancer and benign breast conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging data.
• Work closely with other specialists such as oncologists, radiation oncologists, reconstruction surgeons, and pathologists.
