Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare in Covington, Georgia is seeking a qualified individual to operate ultrasound equipment for clinical diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures. The role involves providing patient care across all age groups and effectively communicating with staff and radiologists.

The ideal candidate should be a graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and must obtain certification by ARDMS or ARRT within 6 months of employment. BLS certification is required and additional certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must become certified by ARDMS or ARRT or CCI within 6 months of employment.
• BLS certified and Registered ARDMS, or ARRT and/or RVS/RVT preferred.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None, must become certified by ARDMS or ARRT or CCI within 6-month of employment.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
Registered ARDMS, or ARRT and/or RVS/RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) preferred.
