Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA‑approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• No minimum experience required; must become certified by ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI within six months of employment.
• Minimum licensure/certification required by law: None.
• BLS certified.
