Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a Pathology Diagnostics Services Navigator to support pathology reporting workflows and coordinate testing across teams. This role involves interfacing with pathologists, clinicians, and external labs to ensure accurate and timely case reviews.

You will manage specimens, documentation, and communications, helping to prepare materials for conferences and tumor boards while upholding regulatory standards and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, health science, health administration, or related field.
• 1–2 years work experience in Laboratory or Administrative Healthcare.
• Experience with computer systems including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary operational contact for assigned pathology subspecialty and route inquiries.
• Coordinate information exchange between pathology, clinical departments, and external institutions.
• Assist with incorporation and reconciliation of outside pathology reports and consultations.
• Track slides, blocks, and reports; identify missing materials and follow up.
• Coordinate molecular and cytogenetic testing requests with internal/external labs.
• Prepare materials for tumor boards, conferences, and teaching sessions.
• Communicate status to pathologists, laboratory personnel, and clinical staff.
• Ensure workflows comply with departmental policies and quality procedures.
• Maintain organized records, databases, and workflow processes.
