Allina Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and the nursing staff in delivering timely, quality patient health care services. This includes rooming patients, managing patient flow, administering medications, and communicating with patients.

The role requires completing a Medical Assistant program, with up to 6 months of experience acceptable with 160 externship hours; the position offers a day shift with no weekends and a $2,000 starting bonus for eligible external talent.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required principle competencies as listed on the job description.
• Candidates must have completed a Medical Assistant program or a comparable healthcare education program with a similar scope of clinical training.
• Candidates with fewer than six (6) months of Medical Assistant experience must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of clinical externship or equivalent clinical practicum.

Aufgaben

• Rooms patients, manages patient flow and obtains adequate patient medical information/data.
• Performs injections and assists with procedures and coordinates results with providers or RNs.
• Assists with patient transportation and supports patient care through documentation in EMR and communication with the team.
• May cover front desk and provide backup to patient registration/scheduling as needed.
