Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography to perform screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic procedures, ensuring diagnostic-quality images and strict MQSA compliance.

You will operate digital imaging equipment, educate patients, label images, and participate in QC, infection control, and room readiness, while maintaining IDX/PACS workflows and state licensure.

Qualifications

• AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• New York State License (L.R.T.).
• ARRT Mammography Registered or Eligible (ARRT-M).

Responsibilities

• Performs Mammographic procedures to include screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic.
• Applies the necessary technical judgment to obtain studies of an acceptable diagnostic quality according to written protocols and the patients’ needs.
• Assists, prepares and positions patients as required to perform Mammographic procedures.
• Maintains statistical reports for inspections by DOH, MQSA.
• Operates specialized digital imaging equipment using established ACR and FDA guidelines.
• Evaluates images for technical acceptability and ensures images are transmitted to PACS in a timely fashion.
