Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound under supervision of a radiologist and assist in data collection for diagnostic decisions. The role emphasizes patient-centered ultrasound services and accurate data gathering.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology and/or Sonography.
• Must be registry eligible in Breast Sonography or as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS/ARRT).
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required or obtained within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services using diagnostic ultrasound for the use and interpretation of ultrasound procedures.
• Assist the radiologist in gathering sonographic data necessary to reach diagnostic decisions.
