Zusammenfassung

UAB Medicine's radiology team at UAB St. Vincent’s Blount provides advanced ultrasound imaging to support inpatient, outpatient, surgical, oncology and emergency care teams.

The ultrasound technologist position is PRN with a day shift and on-call one weekend every month, performing diagnostic procedures and ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining safety and equipment standards.

Qualifikationen

• Licensure/Certification/Registration requirements include BLS Provider within 30 days of hire and credentials such as CCI Cardiographic Sonographer, ARRT Radiologic Technologist, ARDMS Sonography, VT, or RDCS within 12 months of hire.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of experience or an Associate’s degree; graduate of an accredited sonography program preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and generate high-quality images for interpretation.
• Set up and adjust equipment, operate transducers, and ensure safety and quality control procedures.
• Assist in cardiac and/or vascular imaging studies; recognize structures and artifacts; report equipment issues.
• Submit images and data to PACS with correct markers and patient history; maintain department cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
