Job summary

The Breast Center of Northwest Arkansas is seeking a Breast Sonographer to perform Screening (ABUS) and Diagnostic Breast Ultrasounds, including complex procedures with radiologist oversight. The role requires strong knowledge of equipment operation, QA/QC, and adherence to patient safety protocols.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, keeping PACS/EMR accurate, and ongoing education to meet ARDMS requirements. Collaborative, patient-centered care within MANA clinics is essential.

Qualifications

• Certification by appropriate body (ARDMS or ARRT)
• CPR

Responsibilities

• Perform Screening (ABUS) and Diagnostic Breast Ultrasounds
• Performs complex and specialized breast procedures
• Follows procedure protocol as defined by the Radiologists
• Proficient in the technical operation of all Ultrasound equipment
• Adheres to QA guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Monitor supplies and equipment in Ultrasound suites
• Communicate patient education material to the patient
• Participates in continuing education to satisfy ARDMS requirements
