Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a fellowship-trained breast radiologist to join the Breast Imaging section. The role is open rank with a hybrid and/or in-person schedule, offering leadership in a high-volume facility that interprets thousands of breast studies annually.

The candidate should be ABR-certified or eligible, with fellowship training in breast imaging and a strong teaching focus. UAB’s Breast Imaging program includes mammography, ultrasound, MRI, CEM, and image-guided

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in breast imaging or equivalent experience.
• ABR-certified or eligible to take the certifying examination.
• Eligible to practice medicine in Alabama.
• Strong teaching and leadership skills.
• Experience with multidisciplinary care and breast imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive breast imaging services including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI.
• Perform image-guided procedures and breast biopsies as needed.
• Lead multidisciplinary conferences and tumor board discussions.
• Contribute to education, mentorship, and scholarly activities.
• Engage in ongoing clinical trials and imaging research.
