Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Mammography, or related healthcare discipline required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in breast imaging, oncology, women's health, case management, patient navigation, or related clinical specialty.
• Knowledge of breast cancer screening guidelines and diagnostic pathways preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare systems, referral processes, and insurance authorization requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems, Microsoft Office applications, and patient tracking databases.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the continuum of breast care, including screening mammography, diagnostic imaging, biopsy procedures, and surgical consultations.
• Assess barriers (clinical, financial, cultural, emotional, logistical) affecting access to breast services.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-up services to promote timely evaluation and treatment.
• Monitor patient progress and ensure completion of recommended screenings and workups.
• Provide education about breast health, imaging procedures, diagnosis, and treatment options.
• Advise patients to support informed decisions and next steps in care.
• Serve as liaison between patients, clinicians, imaging, pathology, and referring providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interactions, care plans, referrals, and follow-up in the EMR.
