Job summary

Elliot Hospital's Breast Health Department is seeking a Breast Care Coordinator to support radiologists in mammography reporting and patient result delivery. The role includes coordinating outside imaging requests, updating medical records, and performing clerical duties per department policies.

Under supervision of the Mammography Supervisor, you will ensure report accuracy, manage the open order list, and assist with patient scheduling and insurance precertifications.

Qualifications

• 2 years of healthcare experience.
• High School diploma or GED ( Required ).

Responsibilities

• Assist interpreting Radiologist with mammography reporting accuracy.
• Proofread radiologists' dictations for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Manage open mammography orders and ensure timely scheduling for follow-up imaging.
• Obtain insurance precertification and schedule interventional breast procedures.
• Reconcile imaging and procedures to ensure reports are dictated and patients receive results.
• Assist with obtaining, downloading, and documenting outside imaging requests and updating medical records.
