Qualifications

• Must have MD or MD/PhD with biomedical research background.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical medicine experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in drug development or biomedical research.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate pre-clinical and translational work for early clinical development plans and IND applications.
• Develop clinical development strategies for oncology drugs (investigational or marketed).
• Plan clinical trials, including design, operational plans, and settings, based on development strategies.
• Monitor and manage ongoing or new clinical trials for oncology drugs.
• Analyze and summarize findings to support safety/efficacy decisions and regulatory submissions.
• Lead internal/external research collaborations on new compounds and marketed drugs.
• Supervise Clinical Scientists in execution of clinical studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across commercialization, regulatory, statistics, and manufacturing.
• Provide progress updates to Senior/Executive Director and other stakeholders.
• Maintain awareness of scientific developments and new methodologies in the field.
• Identify strong investigators for development support and establish communications with key clinical researchers.
• Attend scientific meetings to stay current and maintain competency.
• Author development documents, presentations, budgets, and position papers for internal/external audiences.
• Facilitate collaborations with external researchers worldwide.
• Travel about 25% of the time to manage projects.
