Job summary

Shamin Hotels in Newport News, VA, is seeking a part-time Breakfast Attendant to support our morning breakfast service. You will assemble and restock the breakfast buffet, assist guests, and ensure brand standards are met during the morning hours.

Responsibilities include setting up stations, taking inventory of items, preparing coffee and fruit, clearing tables, and coordinating with the kitchen staff as needed to keep the buffet inviting and fresh for guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Providing personalized service to all guests.
• Setting up and maintaining breakfast bar as per brand standards.
• Taking inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
• Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
• Setting out/arranging cold foods like pastries and cereals.
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
• Preparing and setting up hot items.
• Restocking items throughout breakfast hours and for the next day.
• Washing serving equipment and returning to storage.
• Other duties assigned by management.
