Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group in New Orleans is seeking a courteous server to provide prompt dining room service and guest satisfaction. You will greet guests, take orders, relay requests, and ensure accurate billing while maintaining cleanliness and a professional appearance.

Experience in customer service and cash handling is preferred; strong English communication is essential for providing timely information to guests and collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 months of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and restaurant operations.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Greet and take food and drink orders, serve orders, and accommodate special requests.
• Maintain attentive service throughout the dining experience per standards.
• Restock and clean during opening/closing sidework.
• Memorize menu items, recipes, and specials to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Keep restaurant, wait station and kitchen areas clean to meet health standards.
• Process guest checks and payments accurately.
• Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to stay informed.
• Respond to inquiries with timely, knowledgeable information.
• Present a clean, professional appearance at all times.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor; perform other duties as assigned.
