Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Server to join our dining team. You will welcome guests, seat them comfortably, take orders, and serve food and beverages with attentive, friendly service while maintaining brand standards.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, six months of customer service experience preferred, and must obtain TIPS certification within 30 days. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must obtain TIPS certification within 30 days (if not certified).
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer/client focus.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with eye contact and a warm welcome as they enter the dining area.
• Maintain a proactive guest service approach at all times.
• Assist with seating guests as needed (in the absence of the hostess).
• Provide fast, friendly professional and responsive customer service to hotel & restaurant guest & staff.
• Serve food and beverage in accordance with standards and in a professional courteous manner.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition.
• Adhere to all Brand Standards regarding Food and Beverage and Service.
• Assist with the set up and cleanliness of the Restaurant.
• Assist with clearing and set-up of tables.
• Assist with restocking of supplies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with Management and other Team Members.
• Use Point of Sale (POS) system as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.
• Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager
