Job summary

Hy-Vee's Market Grille is seeking a Breakfast Cook to be the heart of the morning operation, preparing a wide variety of hot and cold breakfast items that fuel customers' days.

You will prep ingredients, assemble dishes per recipes, keep the kitchen running from first shift through last, and ensure cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile.
• Prepare cooking surfaces and ready the kitchen for service.
• Prepare vegetables, sides, meats, and breakfast foods according to recipes.
• Plate and present items, maintain hot cases, and refill as needed.
• Help prepare items for upcoming shifts for a smooth transition.
• Stay knowledgeable of menu items and take guest orders as needed.
• Practice proper sanitation and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Work with teammates to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive environment.
• Report to work on schedule and adhere to store policies.
