Job summary

Daly Seven is seeking a Breakfast Host/Hostess to craft a warm, inviting morning atmosphere for guests. You will own the complimentary breakfast experience, ensuring freshness and genuine care with attentive service and a friendly smile that sets the tone for the guest stay.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, refilling beverages, providing directions, maintaining cleanliness and stock, and coordinating with other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification preferred, but not required.
• Prior customer service or food service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, stoop, and regularly navigate stairs.

As a Breakfast Host or Hostess atDaly Seven, you are responsible for crafting a warm and inviting atmosphere where our guests can start their day. You take personal ownership of the complimentary breakfast experience, ensuring that every meal is fresh and every guest feels genuinely cared for. By providing attentive service and a friendly smile, you set the tone for the rest of our guests' stay.

What You’ll Do

Create a Welcoming Atmosphere

• Take the initiative to greet guests before they speak to you, using eye contact, a nod, or a warm greeting.
• Offer assistance to guests and try to stay one step ahead of their needs, such as pouring coffee and juice refills when needed.
• Provide guests with accurate information and clear directions to help them navigate their day.
• Listen to guest inquiries or concerns with interest and empathy, responding promptly to ensure total satisfaction.

Master the Details

• Prepare all food and beverages, keeping supplies stocked and fresh throughout the morning service.
• Take regular inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, informing management of upcoming needs.
• Establish and maintain personal high-quality standards for cleanliness in the service and storage areas.
• Help other departments when needed and communicate pertinent information to the next shift verbally and via logbooks.

Ensure Safety & Security

• Act as a vital part of the hotel security team, reporting potential hazards and investigating alleged injuries in the absence of a manager.
• Know the location of emergency cut-offs (gas, electric, water), breakers, and emergency lights.
• Complete Incident Reports for guests or Accident Reports for employees when necessary.
