Position: Full-Time Grill Cook

Location: Amos' Place Restaurant

Pay Range: $15.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Stoltzfus Meats specializes in fine, fresh, homestyle foods. We're seeking a dedicated Full-Time Grill Cook to join our team. You will prepare hot sandwiches and entrees using fresh ingredients on a griddle, char grill, and rapid oven. Additionally, you'll assist with various kitchen prep tasks in a lively, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Age 18+
Ability to stand, twist, and work in high temperatures for extended periods
Ability to regularly lift 25-50 lbs
Experience as a grill, line, or short-order cook preferred; training available
Comfortable using a griddle and char grill; rapid oven experience a plus
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Flexible, reliable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed

Key Responsibilities

Prepare breakfast items and hot sandwiches by braising and grilling meats and vegetables
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and food is cooked to proper temperatures
Follow safety and hygiene practices, including preventing cross-contamination
Prepare meals using standardized recipes and portion controls
Communicate effectively with kitchen team members
Manage multiple food orders simultaneously, ensuring timely dish completion
Assist with kitchen prep, trash removal, and light bussing as needed
Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked workstations
Support a positive team culture and perform other duties as assigned

Schedule: 3-4 shifts per week (approx. 9 hours each), typically 10 AM - 7 PM. Friday and Saturday availability is required. Amos's Place operates Monday-Friday: 6 AM - 6 PM, and Saturday: 6 AM - 5 PM. No late nights and no Sundays!
