Stoltzfus Meats, Inc. is seeking a Prep Cook to join our team in Intercourse, PA. You will prepare ingredients, organize for service, and support the cooking team throughout the day in a busy kitchen environment.

We welcome training for the right candidate who is dependable, eager to learn, and takes pride in a job well done. Schedule options include two shifts on Tuesdays through Fridays, with pay of $15–$18 per hour.

Qualificações

• Previous kitchen, cooking, or food preparation experience is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn recipes, preparation methods, and kitchen procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently once trained.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and food safety standards.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and good attendance.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare ingredients and food items according to recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Wash, chop, portion, measure, and organize ingredients for daily production and service.
• Assist cooks and other kitchen team members with food preparation as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked preparation areas.
• Properly store ingredients and prepared foods while following product rotation and FIFO practices.
• Maintain consistency in food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning responsibilities.
• Help monitor ingredient levels and communicate when supplies are running low.
• Support the kitchen team wherever needed to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Schedule:

• Tuesday-Friday, with two schedule options available:
  • 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
  • 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Pay:

• $15-$18 per hour

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive food preparation tasks
• Comfortable working around kitchen equipment and in varying kitchen temperatures
