Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Middletown, RI is seeking a skilled Cook to prepare all food items for the Restaurant, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, following standardized recipes and hotel standards.

You will maintain cleanliness and safety, work across stations, and support any kitchen position as needed, with a focus on quality, speed, and cost control. Flexibility with hours and ability to stand long shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or hotel experience preferred.
• Culinary experience required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand during entire shift and withstand temperature variations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
• Prepare and display buffet items according to hotel standards.
• Prepare food following standard recipes and hotel procedures.
• Breakdown buffets and kitchen line; store food and equipment properly.
• Support any position in the Kitchen that is in need of help.
• Follow Health Department and Company regulations on food safety.
