Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods in a kitchen environment and follow sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and positive interaction.
• Prepare cooking surfaces and ready the kitchen for service.
• Prepare vegetables, sides, meats and breakfast foods according to recipes and specifications.
• Place food in hot cases, monitor amounts, and refill as necessary during shifts.
• Prepare items for upcoming shifts to ensure a smooth transition.
• Stay knowledgeable of all menu items and take guest orders as needed.
• Order product and supplies or notify department head of needs.
• Maintain hygiene, dress standards and Hy-Vee policies.
