Job summary

The Chatham Inn on Cape Cod, a Relais & Châteaux and Forbes Five-Star property, seeks a Breakfast Cook to produce all breakfast orders quickly and to the highest quality. You will maintain a clean kitchen, learn the breakfast menu, and support a dynamic, luxury hospitality team.

This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, teamwork, and a strong work ethic in a high-paced environment at a premier Cape Cod hotel known for exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in breakfast cook role, luxury setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities required.
• Reading, writing and spoken English proficiency necessary.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Open and organize station for breakfast service.
• Prepare items for breakfast service to meet volume and quality standards.
• Arrange line for efficient cooking and service.
• Prepare orders accurately and ensure timely delivery to guests.
• Learn breakfast menu, recipes, preparation and presentation.
• Store food properly and maintain temperatures.
• Prepare for next shift and following day as directed.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area compliant with health regulations.

Hiring Bonus Available: $500 paid out in three (3) installments - $200 at 30 days of employment; $150 at 60 days of employment; and $150 at 90 days of employment. Please note: This hiring bonus is subject to all withholdings and deductions as required by law.

A day in the life...

The Breakfast Cook will produce all orders required by business volume and supervisor, as quickly and efficiently as possible, and to produce the highest quality product. Also, to produce all orders on an a la carte basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open up preparing and organizing the station and cooking all food necessary to start serving.
• Prepare all items for breakfast service.
• Rearrange the line for cooking and service.
• Prepare all orders as turned in and ensures all orders cooked quickly and according to order; also ensures that food leaves the kitchen in peak condition.
• Learn Breakfast menu, recipes, preparation, and presentation.
• Ensure that all food is stored in proper containers and at proper storage and holding temperatures.
• Cook only sufficient food in advance to cover expected business volume and to maintain quality.
• Prepare all food needed.
• Prepare all food for next shift and for the following day as required and directed by Supervisor.
• Maintain the work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with state, county, and company health regulations and work safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 1 year experience in similar position preferably in a luxury setting.
• Have excellent communication and organization skills.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
