Job summary

The Chatham Inn, a Relais & Châteaux and Forbes Five-Star hotel on Cape Cod, is seeking a Breakfast Cook. You will produce breakfast orders quickly and to a high standard, ensuring items are cooked fresh and plated beautifully for service.

Ideal candidates have 1 year in a similar role, strong English communication, and a flexible schedule. The role offers perks within Noble House Hotels & Resorts and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in breakfast cook or similar role, preferably in luxury.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• English reading, writing and speaking proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Open up, prepare and organize the breakfast station for service.
• Prepare all items for breakfast service with quality and speed.
• Rearrange the line for cooking and service as needed.
• Ensure orders are cooked quickly and leave the kitchen at peak condition.
• Learn breakfast menu, recipes, preparation, and presentation.
• Maintain proper food storage and holding temperatures.
• Prepare for next shift and following day as directed by Supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean, sanitary, and compliant with health regulations.

Hiring Bonus Available: $500 paid out in three (3) installments - $200 at 30 days of employment; $150 at 60 days of employment; and $150 at 90 days of employment. Please note: This hiring bonus is subject to all withholdings and deductions as required by law.

A day in the life...

The Breakfast Cook will produce all orders required by business volume and supervisor, as quickly and efficiently as possible, and to produce the highest quality product. Also, to produce all orders on an a la carte basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open up preparing and organizing the station and cooking all food necessary to start serving.
• Prepare all items for breakfast service.
• Rearrange the line for cooking and service.
• Prepare all orders as turned in and ensures all orders cooked quickly and according to order; also ensures that food leaves the kitchen in peak condition.
• Learn Breakfast menu, recipes, preparation, and presentation.
• Ensure that all food is stored in proper containers and at proper storage and holding temperatures.
• Cook only sufficient food in advance to cover expected business volume and to maintain quality.
• Prepare all food needed.
• Prepare all food for next shift and for the following day as required and directed by Supervisor.
• Maintain the work area, including all counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with state, county, and company health regulations and work safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 1 year experience in similar position preferably in a luxury setting.

• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
