Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Key West, FL is hiring a Breakfast Attendant to provide exceptional service in the hotel’s breakfast area. You will greet guests, maintain clean, well-stocked stations, and support all beverage and food service tasks.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends, and pass required safety certifications such as Food Handlers and TIPs where applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform job function with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Must be willing to work varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must meet legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and pass responsible serving course (TIPs) as required by property.
• Must obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state.
• Able to handle stressful situations professionally.
• Knowledge of hotel products, guest services and etiquette.
• Strong communication with guests and team members.
• Willingness to learn and assist other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented guest interactions.
• Greet and seat guests in a timely manner; maintain a clean, organized station.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and side work duties.
• Offer beverage and food service support including high-quality drinks.
• Respond to guest special requests and coordinate with other departments as needed.
• Perform cashiering tasks and handle closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
• Communicate guest needs and VIPs to appropriate departments.
• Ensure all areas are stocked, clean and orderly per standards.
