Job summary

Fairfield by Marriott Rochester Hills is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to manage the complete operation of the complimentary breakfast, including food preparation, buffet setup, guest service, stocking, cleanliness, and breakdown.

This role requires dependability, organization, and a commitment to high standards of food safety and hospitality to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, hospitality, restaurant, or hotel experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast items per brand standards and food safety guidelines.
• Set up the breakfast buffet and dining area before service.
• Ensure all food, beverages, utensils, and supplies are stocked during service.
• Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation.
• Greet guests professionally and assist with questions or requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming breakfast area at all times.
• Clear and sanitize tables, countertops, and serving stations during/after service.
• Wash, clean, and store breakfast equipment and supplies.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop breakfast room and nearby public areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Store food properly and complete breakfast breakdown procedures at end of service.
• Work cooperatively with other hotel departments to ensure a great guest experience.

As a Breakfast Attendant, you will be responsible for the complete operation of the hotel's complimentary breakfast, including food preparation, buffet setup, guest service, stocking, cleanliness, and breakdown.

This position requires someone who is dependable, organized, and committed to providing excellent hospitality while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast food items according to Fairfield by Marriott brand standards and food safety guidelines.
• Set up the breakfast buffet and dining area before service begins.
• Ensure all food, beverages, utensils, serving items, and supplies are fully stocked throughout breakfast service.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, temperature, and presentation.
• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and assist with questions or requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming breakfast area at all times.
• Clear and sanitize tables, countertops, serving stations, and dining areas during and after service.
• Wash, clean, and properly store breakfast equipment, serving utensils, and supplies.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast room and surrounding public areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Properly store food and complete breakfast breakdown procedures at the end of service.
• Work cooperatively with other hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
