Job summary

Portland Embassy Suites in Portland, OR is seeking a part-time breakfast attendant to set up, present, and maintain our complimentary breakfast and evening reception offerings. You will greet guests, keep service areas clean, restock supplies, and assist with light food prep as needed.

Qualifications

• No experience required; great attitude and teamwork welcome.
• Food Safety certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present, and maintain breakfast and evening reception setups.
• Keep buffets, service areas, tables and equipment clean and stocked.
• Greet guests warmly and address questions or concerns promptly.
• Assist with light food prep, restocking, bussing tables, or bar service as needed.
• Follow food safety standards and monitor storage and temperatures.
• Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly and safely.

Compensation Range : $17.00 to $17.85

Job Description

What You Will Do:

• Set the stage for a great guest experience by preparing, presenting, and maintaining our complimentary breakfast and/or evening reception
• Keep everything clean, stocked, and guest-ready-buffets, service areas, tables, and equipment
• Greet guests with a friendly, helpful attitude and handle questions or concerns quickly and professionally
• Jump in where needed-whether that's light food prep, restocking, bussing tables, or supporting bar/service areas
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe, clean environment for guests and team members
• Monitor food quality, proper storage, and temperature standards throughout your shift
• Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly and efficiently
• Communicate key updates during shift changes to keep everyone aligned
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, and report any issues as needed

What We Are Looking For:

• No experience? No problem! If you have a great attitude and love teamwork, we'll teach you the rest
• Restaurant, customer service, or cashier experience preferred
• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during your shift
• Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
