Job summary

Shamin Hotels in Newport News, Virginia is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to support our busy Food and Beverage team. You will help assemble and replenish the breakfast buffet, welcome guests, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth service.

This role requires reliable, guest-focused service, ability to stand for long periods, and attention to brand standards. Breakfast Attendants set up, stock, and maintain the buffet during service and restock for the next day.

Responsibilities

• Providing personalized service to all guests
• Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar as required by brand standards
• Taking inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day
• Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices from concentration
• Setting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacatedPreparing and setting up hot food items
• Restocking items consistently throughout breakfast hours and for the next day
• Washing serving equipment and returning to storage
• Other and all duties, projects, and tasks assigned by management

Position Overview: Breakfast Attendants are responsible for assembling and disassembling breakfast buffets, and ensuring that the buffet remains well-stocked at all times. In full-service establishments, Breakfast Attendants receive orders from customers, communicate these to the kitchen staff, and clear tables.
