Job Description: Breakfast Attendant

Summary

Breakfast is the best way to start the day! Guests enjoy delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented food. A Breakfast Attendant prepares and maintains the breakfast bar, welcomes each guest, and provides a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support guest service as the main focus of the hotel.
• Prepare, serve, and maintain breakfast bar according to brand and safety standards.
• Greet guests, anticipate, and assist with breakfast needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of breakfast and preparation areas and ensure food safety.
• Wash, clean, and store all breakfast equipment.
• Review and maintain inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed daily.
• Report ordering or purchasing needs to supervisor promptly.
• Complete all opening and closing breakfast tasks as indicated.
• Address guest problems/complaints and coordinate with other departments to fulfill requests.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent guest service skills.
• Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Knowledge of applicable food safety regulations.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Physical ability to push, bend, stoop, walk, reach, and perform manual tasks, with good vision and hearing.
