Overview

The Breakfast Attendant sets up the dining area for daily meals, ensuring side work is completed before service and before leaving for the day. Responsibilities include preparing deli items, salad bar, and other designated items following approved recipes, ensuring food quality, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all work surfaces and dining areas, and monitoring associate food use and meal tallies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Maintain knowledge of hours of operation, table setups, expected meal counts, safety and sanitation requirements, and storage procedures. Complete opening duties: check stock quality and quantity, requisition supplies, transport supplies, prepare condiments and beverages, stock service ware, inspect cleanliness, set tables, and prepare service areas.
2. Ensure equipment is operational and clean; report maintenance issues. Receive and store food from the kitchen at proper temperatures.
3. Defrost, clean, and prepare produce as assigned.
4. Maintain stock levels of food and beverages throughout the shift.
5. Monitor food quality and cleanliness on service lines; report replenishment needs and obtain replacements for 86'd items.
6. Greet and serve meals to hotel employees.
7. Clear tables, wipe down surfaces, and replenish condiments during the shift.
8. Clean spills immediately, breakdown goods, return unused food, and sanitize service areas.
9. Restock stations for the next meal period and complete closing duties.
10. Organize supply closets, report damages or hazards, and document in logbooks.
11. Sweep and mop floors.

Education and Experience
