Job summary

Aloft is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to assist with breakfast preparation and cleanup, ensuring guest satisfaction on a regular 6am–10am shift. You will deliver high-quality service with courtesy and efficiency to guests visiting the hotel.

Responsibilities include stocking breakfast items, making coffee, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with basic front desk tasks during breakfast hours. Fluency in English is required; prior restaurant or cafe experience is preferred.

Job description

The Aloft "Location" is looking for a Breakfast Attendant, you will be responsible for breakfast preparation and cleanup, while ensuring guest satisfaction. We are looking for someone who can provide high-quality service that will help us provide attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests throughout their stay while conducting the front office functions while on the 6a - 10am shift.

Responsibilities

• Offers courteous and sincere hospitality at all times.
• Places food items in appropriate containers for serving food to guests and keeps containers fully stocked during breakfast hours.
• Makes coffee, supplies and cleans coffee counter/breakfast area.
• Restocks food and other containers used in the breakfast area.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the breakfast area.
• Cleans and sanitizes all food display containers, trays, plates etc.
• Stores food products in a safe and clean storage area in an orderly manner.
• Uses plastic gloves and hair net when restocking food items. Hands must be washed frequently to avoid contamination of food products.
• Takes all breakfast waste to the garbage dumpster daily.
• Must obtain any food safety or other certifications required by the local public health authorities.
• Answers questions about the hotel and community, is knowledgeable about the location of attractions, restaurants and shopping, and answers complaints or concerns by the guests.
• Patience and customer-oriented approach.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 50lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand during the entire 8-hour shift.
