Responsibilities

Breakfast Attendant

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the Breakfast Bar in an attractive, organized, clean, and standardized presentation, maintaining brand standards at all times.
• Takes inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
• Assists with set up of prepared foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
• Set up serving dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and other products.
• Set up and arrange cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal.
• Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated.
• Removes trash from service area.
• Restocks self-service food and supplies as needed.
• Wash serving equipment and return to proper storage.
• Return reusable food supplies to storage after service.
• Vacuum, sweep carpets and floors.
• Mop floors.
• Dust, brush, polish, and vacuum furniture.
• Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces (e.g., wall fixtures, window sills, vents) using appropriate cleaners designated by the immediate supervisor.
• Inspect areas for safety hazards.
• Check operating conditions of equipment.
• Report lost & found articles per hotel procedure.
• Report maintenance problems (common areas) to the department supervisor and maintenance.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/manager.

Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English and effectively communicate with Team Members and Guests.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding when carrying out instructions.
• Must be able to use and follow a checklist, take inventory of supplies, and convey information to staff and management.
• Must be able to comply with standardized situations with only occasional or no variation.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work without constant supervision.
• Must be able to work well as part of a team.
• Must engage with all guests throughout the breakfast period; respond to guest needs as required.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking for the entire length of the shift.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
