Role Overview
The Breakfast Attendant ensures a positive guest experience during breakfast service by preparing and presenting food in a clean, organized environment, providing exceptional service, and maintaining health and safety standards. This role is key to delivering a welcoming and satisfying morning experience, reflecting our company's high standards of hospitality.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of breakfast items according to standard recipes.
- Greet guests warmly and with a positive attitude to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including cleaning tables and stations, and complying with health codes.
- Ensure food items are available and replenished throughout breakfast hours.
- Monitor food and beverage deliveries for quality and portion control.
- Follow health department regulations and safety standards, including sanitation laws.
- Inspect storage, cleanliness, and inventory rotation of food and beverage outlets.
- Assist with inventory management to maintain stock levels and reduce waste.
- Contribute to a positive team environment with enthusiasm and helpfulness.
- Maintain professionalism and set a positive example for colleagues.
- Communicate effectively across departments for smooth operations.
- Be receptive to feedback and use it to improve performance.
- Assist in emergency situations and other duties as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No prior experience required; hospitality experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage operations and standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health regulations related to food service and sanitation.
- Ability to stand and move quickly for up to 8 hours; lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch for cleaning and inspections.
- Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to standards.
- Food handler’s permit if required by law.
